    GTS v Leeds (home)

Post by RRC on Sat 04 Aug 2018, 5:22 pm

Last season we beat Leeds 2-1 at Elland Road but drew 2-2 at PPS.
It's likely to be a new look Leeds at PPS on Tuesday night, so let's
hope they aren't the finished article yet, because we certainly aren't.
They play Stoke on Sunday afternoon, so that may give us some idea.

Please post your guess before the 7.45 pm kickoff on Tuesday. oops!  Bang head

Please post your guess before the 5.30 pm kickoff on Saturday.

Watched Leeds this afternoon and they look much more like the finished article than us. On this weekend evidence I reckon that we won't get close to them 3-1 to the dirties unfortunately.

I watched the game too and agree about Leeds' performance.

Their flexible 4-1-4-1 formation, speed and accurate passing often swamped Stoke's
slow and unimaginative 4-3-3. Stoke's consolation goal, a penalty, came from a rare
defensive mix up but Leeds could well have scored more than three.

The Leeds' wide players. Hernandez and Alioski, were really effective and I didn't
see any major weaknesses in their side. They still have their best defender, Pontus
Jansson, to come back after World Cup duties with Sweden.

If Leeds can continue build on this performance, they might turn out to be this
season's Wolves. In contrast, we still have a long way to go, especially if we
don't address some of our weaknesses with new signings this week.

    See match highlights on Sky

Sorry about the mistake on the date of our match with Leeds in the opening post. Sorry

I have to agree.  They were better all over the park than Stoke, which really surprised me.

They did seem to  have 14 men in midfield.... Afraid

It hurts me to say it, but the DYS look a bit useful and are more ready than us at this stage of the season.   Hurt

    Rams 0  DYS  2
