Pick the team to play Leeds at PPS

Post by RRC on Sat 04 Aug 2018, 5:30 pm

Here's my pick, which is unlikely to be Lampard's --

    Carson
    Wisdom Keogh Davies Lowe
    Mount Johnson Bryson
    Josefzoon Lawrence Bennett

Johnson's in because I assume Huddlestone and Ledley won't be fit.

Josefzoon's experience should help, especially in doing his defensive
duties, and he should add some weight to the attack. Wilson is very
promising but he's a bit too hit or miss yet.

Who would be in your team?

    5' 8" and 70Kg is our Florian.

He's 1.82m (almost 6 feet) and 80kg according to WhoScored.

Anyway it seems to me that Josefzoon is more rugged and stronger than Wilson. and,
as I said, his experience could be valuable, especially against Leeds.

I like Wilson - he's clearly very talented - but think he may need a bit more time to
become to settle in and become productive.

I would put Captain Jack up front in place of Nugent and see if he can become an instant hero at PP.

    I blame WhoScored then. Both dcfc.co.uk and Flo's Wiki say 1m 73cm which is 5' 8"

    And he looks 5ft 8 as well. If he's nearly 6ft, I'm nearly 7ft

    Carson
    Wisdom,  Pearce,  Davies,  Lowe
Bryson,  Huddlestone (Evans if not fit) Mount
    Wilson, Marriott, Lawrence.

As Bramhall Ram alluded to on another thread this morning, it's clear why the nos. 5 and 9 weren't used when squad numbers were given out.

Frank's MO seems to be to bed in newbies before giving them a start, so I'd be surprised if Foghorn Leghorn starts, even if he's here.

I consider Bennett very unlucky not to be in the XI after his cameo and pre season.  You were spot on about him, MA. Let's hope he stays fit, he's clearly ready.  I think Wilson will be more involved in home than away games.

I wonder who he has in mind for the no. 5 role?  Still Terry?? I suppose that depends on getting the Vydra money in....
