    2 holding, wing backs, Marriott alongside Waghorn or Nugent. Suits what we have far more than the 4-3-3 that we have at the moment.

    I would say that:-






    This formation would gives us greater solidity at the back, much more strength in midfield and a greater threat up front.

    I like the way that Lampard is willing to change things and try different options but I think that he is showimg his inexperience trying to play all out open football in the Championship.

    FL needs to understand that teams that do well in this division are built on a tough, no nonsense defence. Until we can defend properly we'll continue to get turned over by teams that bully us in midfield and target our glaring weakness under the high ball.

    And while he's assessing his options he might consider playing with a big lad up front. I know it's not pretty, but the EFL isn't La Liga and we look a bit lightweight at the moment.
