    GTS v Ipswich (H)

Post by RRC on Sun 19 Aug 2018, 4:08 pm

For the last three seasons, Derby have lost 0-1 to Ipswich at PPS but
won at Portman Road. The previous two home games against them
were 1-1 and the McClaren-inspired 4-4 draw (from 1-4 at half time).

On Saturday Ipswich fought back at home to draw with Villa despite
going down to 10 men in the first half. They began the season with
a 2-2 home draw with Blackburn. In between those two draws they
lost 0-1 away to Rotherham and lost on penalties at Exeter in the EFL
(Carabeo) Cup after a 1-1 draw at full time.

Like Derby, they are a side in transition after Paul Hurst replacied
Mick McCarthy in May. So far they've tried three different formations:
4-3-3 against Blackburn, 4-4-2 at Rotherham, and 4-2-3-1 against
Villa. Hopefully they will be less inclined to park the tractor than on
    recent visits to PPS.

Please post your guess before the 7.45 kick off on Tuesday.

I still remain hopeful that this team will cut out the silly mistakes & start to click up front. Will it be this game? I have no idea but i'll go for a 2-1 win to Derby.

If we start the Ipswich game with the handbrake on like we did at Millwall it's hard to see us picking up any points. We need to be in their faces from the start, cut out the slow build ups and keep pressing at every opportunity.

In the hope that FL can hammer this message into his players I'll go for a Rams win.

    Rams 2 Ipswich 1

Four games in and I've no idea (already).

The GTS donkey pinned up on the back of our bathroom door is beginning to get pains all over his....well not even his ar£e at the moment, to be fair !

I'm going for a sporting 2-2 draw with noises of ridiculous knife sharpening to be heard as the throngs leave PP.

Oh and Please Mr/Miss/Mrs Ms GTS adder-upper, can I have a correct score rather than a correct result for the Millwall game? Ayefankyoo :-)

Those extra two points could be the difference between last and last but one, come May.....

A side in transition vs a side in transition. I'm going for home advantage, so, 2-0 to the Super Rams it is then!
