Craig Ramage's team to face Preston

Post by RRC on Fri 24 Aug 2018, 10:03 am

This is Craig Ramage's team - it wouldn't be mine!

I'd have Ledley (or anyone who could tackle and defend properly) next to Bryson,
move Mount forward and keep Lawrence at left wing (with Bennett on the bench).

    What do you think?

RRC, that looks like a very lightweight team chosen by an ex-striker. I'd expect it to be totally overrun in midfield, affording no protection to the back four and unable to provide a service to the strikers.

    I prefer your suggestion.

I just wish Curtis Davis were available.

That seems most unlikely! But your constant championing of Martin, and optimism about him getting back into the team, is impressive

He's scored a lot of goals for Derby at this level. I'd be glad to see him back, though he's a man too many without some more departures.
