Ok, being only 10 when the Specials split up, i never got the chance to see em live :sob:

So when heard early last year they were doin a reunion tour this year, I couldn't wait, and back in December i got tickets for Manchester gig on May 5th :disco:

Any one else a fan/ going to any of the gigs

only regret is i wasn't quick enough for home coming gig at Ricoh

I was lucky enough to see them last year, they supported The Enemy at the Ricoh in April.
They were brilliant live, couldn't do much in a half-hour set but "Too much Too Young" was brilliant.

I saw them first time round, brilliant!

I was mates with Terry Hall, during my time as a roadie/suck-ass for the Charlatans

Went to see them in 1980 at barberella's in birmingham for my 21st, we hired a mini bus.
Mart Roper, anti pasti, Hector, derby's northern soul dj,Dave Bonsel, the ID shopmonger amongst a host of a star studdied birthday list.

I was 12 or 13.

& I actually saw them at the kings hall, i think it was before the were the special aka, i think they were called the cardigans or wolly jumpers or something.
They were supporting someone, maybe the slits??? can't remeber now

They were called the Automatics originally . I understand they will be missing Jerry Dammers, its a shame they can't get him on board
