    Klopp

Post by MadAmster on Mon 03 Dec 2018, 3:57 pm

Charged by the FA for running on to the pitch when 'Pool scored that last gasp winner. He isn't the first manager/coach/player to encroach at an important goal. Having thrown the book at Klopp they will now have to do it with everybody................ but they won't.

Everton counterpart Marco Silva said he had no issue with Klopp's actions.

"I didn't see Klopp's reaction and if we scored that goal and had been so lucky I might have done the same," said the Portuguese.

    "I didn't see any disrespect."

I also saw an amusing tweet on the BBC website:

"If you want evidence of how fitness levels in the Prem have improved, compare Klopp reaching the middle of the pitch today with Brian Kidd barely crossing the touchline before falling to his knees Vs Sheff Weds in 1993."

I think Klopp has until Thursday to rehearse his apology speech, but he deserves to get it in the neck. FL copped a fine for straying outside his technical area, so on that basis Klopp and his dazzling teeth should probably get a six months ban.

Maybe but David Pleat skipping across the pitch at Maine Road I think it was, in his beige suit will never be beaten as a spectacle.

    To encroach?!

He ran half he length of the pitch and celebrated by hugging one of his own players.

Tell me another case of when this has happened....

The David Pleat run shouldn't be compared to this one as that game was over. The referee had blown the final whistle.

The game was still in play when Klopp ran onto the pitch and the game continued after his celebration.

Thought his actions then and prior to it were that of a prat.
Walking up and down the sideline whooping the crowd up during the game.
Watch the fu**ing game not the crowd behind you and do your job.
I generally like the bloke but for me this was way over the top and stupid...but that’s football in general now..over the top and stupid.

Some people would say he deserved a severe b*llocking just for wearing that beige suit in public...

FL got a £2K fine, agreed, however, I thought that was more for his words aimed at the referee's assistant and for the pointing of his fingers towards his eyes suggesting that the man should use them for the purpose for which they were intended.
