Cardiff's missing striker Empty Cardiff's missing striker

Post by MadAmster on Tue 22 Jan 2019, 1:57 pm

Emiliano Sala with 12 goals to his name this season in Ligue 1, who signed for Cardiff last week from Nantes, for £15M was in a plane that disappeared in the Guernsey/Alderney area on a trip between Nantes and Cardiff at 20:23 yesterday.

So far, no sign of the plane or its pilot and passenger. It's not looking good for the 2 missing men.

It's now 36 hours since the plane went off the radar. If it landed in sea, the water temperature is currently 10 degrees, I don't think they will be found alive.

Very sad - but what was he doing on a shitty plane in the first place?

It is so sad for the lad and his family.
On another issue, Cardiff paid £15m for him, where do they stand on the money, does anyone know what happens?
Presumably, they will still have to pay the French club?
    Insurance pay out?

I suspect Insurance pay out as Nantes will have either been paid in full or at least in part with other future instalments until it has been paid off.

It would be the miracle of miracles if he was found alive. Damned shame.

There's something not quiet right about this whole situation. No Plane, no bodies, no trace, yes there is debris in the sea but they cannot confirm it is the plane, I fully expect to see him safe and well back in Argentina in the not to distant future. Dunno

They have called off the search and notified next of kin that the chances are almost 0 he and pilot are still alive.
