This is how I see the table looking at season end:

    1. Leeds
    2. Norwich
    3. Sheff Utd
    4. West Brom
    5. Aston Villa
    6. Preston

    7. Middlesbrough
    8. Bristol City
    9. Derby

Form is king at this stage of the season and Villa are hitting the right notes at the minute.

I said 2 months ago when we played Preston that I expect them to surge up the table as they were one of the best sides I have seen this season and they have done just that. A remarkable run.

I believe that one of Preston or Villa will triumph in the play-offs.

    Winners: Leeds
    Runners up: Norwich
    Play-off winners: Preston

Top 4 look nailed on. I also think Boro will hold on to 5th. That leaves us, Bristol City, Villa and PNE vying for that last spot IMO. Who will get it? So many intangibles for me to be definite. If we get 18 to 21 (or more) points from the last 9 we should be fine for an extension to the season. Bristol are in a dip following 9 straight wins. If they don't get out of it in the next 3 games they can forget it. PNE are on a roll and can't be ruled out but if they get a couple of injuries, which is what blighted their early season results, they will drop away. Villa are looking good but will fail if Grealish gets another injury.

Form and good health are the 2 things that, combined, will decide who creeps into the 6th position we currently occupy. Derby seem to be finding that rhythm again at what many say is the right time. I suspect Mount's fitness and form will be the key for us.

    Prediction for Championship Top Six

    1. Leeds
    2. Norwich
    3. Sheff Utd
    4. Aston Villa
    5. Bristol City
    6. West Brom

On current form I can't see us finishing in the top six, and it's easy to see where the problem lies. You don't win games if you don't score, and we've only managed six goals in the last nine league games.

After the debacle at Villa the message seemed to be "Don't worry, we've now got four home games on the trot to push up the table." Well that's not working out so well, with only five points from a possible nine.

Teams know how to stop us, and without Mount's influence it's hard to see winning many more games.

    Maybe next season.

Unless Mount comes back fully fit and in form, we'll probably slip
even further back, though hopefully not behind Florist.

    1. Norwich
    2. Sheff Utd
    3. Leeds
    4. West Brom
    5. Aston Villa
    6. Preston

    7. Middlesbrough
    8. Sheff Weds
    9. Bristol City
    10. Derby
    11. Florist

Three teams on fire - Sheff Wed, Preston, Villa.

Probably fighting for 2 spots at best, as I think the top four are too good.

    1. Norwich
    2.Sheff U
    3.Leeds
    4.Villa
    5.Albion
    6. Preston
    7. Sheff Wed/ Midbro.

A fit Mount gets us top 10.

Sheffield United this seasons team of destiny for me.
    As for the rest..no clue.
Unfortunately just don’t think we have enough left in the tank or enough under the hood to finish the job.

I'm gping to stick my neck out and predict that we will finish in the top 6 along with Norwich, Sheff Utd, West Brom, Villa and Leeds.

Unfortunately I don't see us beating any of the other 5 so I think that it's going to ultimately end in disappointment.

Preston and Villa - with Boro the other team dropping out - top 4 is the top 4 - pick 2 from Leeds, Blades and Naaaawch - I cant

We will finish in my pre-season prediction of 8-10th

Interesting summer ahead - squad will be very different come August....
