Whilst other topics have caught our attention on this forum it has almost slipped under the radar that George Thorne has left to go on a 6 month loan to Oxford united, I wish him better luck that the Luton loan he had last season, got a feeling this is the last chance saloon after those terrible injuries, good luck George.

It is better, of course, to know useless things than to know nothing.

Sadly too many injuries, he will never be the same player as the one we signed on loan in 2013/14

Almost agree BH. One injury too far IMO. Everything he had had previously was "just one of those things". Stuff you come back from.

This one was a totally avoidable one caused by a rash, unecessary and absolutely and utterly dangerous "tackle" from an Ipswich defender that looked intentional. I can't see that kind of occurrence being anything other than a defender taking a risk with someone else's career. He then got the infection in the wound on top of that and the rest is history.

Such a shame. Could have been a DCFC great. Luck deserted him. Good luck George at Oxford.
