My flabber is utterly ghasted. Somebody on my FB friends list has me confused.

The person in question posted a meme "Look the public voted Brexit, The end". Concise and to the point you may think.

Following several replies that covered a multitude of sins they wrote "The Labour so called polices destroyed the economy".

I replied "are you blaming the worldwide financial crisis on Labour? I always thought it was greedy bankers and their elite clients......"

    The reply "No, I'm not"

Me: "I must have misunderstood "The Labour so called polices destroyed the economy" then."

Them: "that’s my personal opinion yes"

Going by what I gauge to be the average IQ on here, I think you will all be as confused as I am. Hopefully, other than engaging on FB in the first place, someone on here can solve my confusion..........

I think if Corbyn hadnt said he would give the students free education, Labour wouldnt have so many MP's. Therefore, the government would have been able to get Brexit sorted by end of last March as planned!

I think that most of us are ashamed at the behaviour of all politicians over the last three years or so. On all sides we have had mp's paying lip service to their constituants whilst furthering their own agenda, whether that be leave or remain, so much so that the traditional boundaries of left, right and centre politics has been destroyed in the name of brexit.

I voted to leave and I am more convinced in my choice with each passing day and I'm sure that remainers feel exactly the same. The strength of feeling that I have is that if we now fail to leave I will never vote again for anything as it absolutely doesn't count.

This shower of sh*t have no shame and don't deserve any recognition and certainly don't justify the effort of deciding which lying shyster is less dangerous than the others.

By the time that the recession came there was a growing feeling that the labour party and Tony Blair and Gordon Brown in particular were throwing money at minority causes and ignoring the big issues across the country.

Immigration was spiralling out of control and champagne socialism was disaffecting both conservative and Labour voters. So whilst the recession was a global issue it was made worse in the view of many by Labour wasting money at a time when they should have been tightening their belts.

The story goes that when the Conservatives won the election there was a note on the door to the treasury office saying something along the lines of "good luck, the moneys all gone" and many Labour voters that I know refuse to acknowledge that Tony Blair was Labour at all.

I would suggest that most of the ill feeling that resulted in Brexit was born under that Labour government and exaserbated by the recession, and they will now imevitably linked for ever.

I'm firmly in the out camp but what disturbs me about this whole debate is that all are concerned with "what's in (or not in) it for me". A totally selfish argument. Is nobody concerned that a bunch of non elected and non qualified bureaucrats sit at the top table of the European Union and govern Europe without fear of retribution when things go askew?
A non elected (and therefore cannot be removed) dictatorship is being built on the back of the working public all over Europe with millions being paid to private individuals who are non accountable and all we can say is "what's in (or not in) it for me" depending on which side of the fence you are on.
We have a chance to have a free Britain, free to make our own inevitable mistakes, we've been there before and made mistakes but was able to correct most of them and did ok and now we have a chance to shake off the shackles of a non elected dictatorship that did not show it's face when we first joined. A certain number of our MP's are now afraid they will have missed the gravy train so are determined to reverse the decision of the vote by the voters for their own pockets. if that ever comes to fruition our country will turn from a democracy to a dictatorship overnight. What next, vote a party in at a general election and the losers, ergo the minority, will fight to overturn the public's wish. We must carry out Brexit according to the majority of voters.

It is better, of course, to know useless things than to know nothing.

Oh I am so glad to see America isn't the only country with dumbass politicians playing on nativism and thinking making people leave will fix things. Just like Americans I find it amusing that people who live in a country that colonized and imposed their idea of "civilization" on people are moaning that others are coming into their country. The irony is so amusing just like it is here.

As long as Northern Ireland is still under British occupation there is no deal the EU will give you nor will you get all these awesome trade deals that will make up for things you lose in the EU market. I live in a train wreck of a country and am watching my friends live one over there, or here where you lot are.

I would disagree with you on one point Cal. Northern Ireland. The UK does not occupy NI. The majority of its inhabitants WANT to be British.

The same is true of Gibraltar and the Falklands...... It is not an occupation.
