LINKS how do I put text in a link?

    Tidy up my links?
Annoyingly, I tried to post a link earlier, using just the word 'Link' but it showed the very long URL aswell. Most untidy of me, so apologies to all!
I learned how to do it on DET site, with the pipe, but it don't seem to work here, and I don't want to post on DET!!!

I also tried to copy and paste the contents, but it wouldn't highlight any words to copy
