Poster of the Month - April Winner

Post by Guest on Mon 10 May 2010, 9:45 am

It's a hung parliament at 10 COYRS Street, but that won't prevent the new Poster of the Month AlvoRAM from claiming the title that he has rightly won. There was the strong presence of the protest vote, as people tried to spoil their ballots with votes for DerbyGinge in protest at the lack of Barnstaple Ram's presence in the final vote AGAIN despite his considered and vital presence upon the board and the dark history of 40s Germany seemed to catch up with our resident die Vaterland administrator as his voting pattern displayed voting patterns not seen since.. since... well, the last time someone tried to rig an election. Rumours of proportional representation for future votes seem misplaced at the moment, but one gets the feeling that unless Li has claimed some kind of crown before the end of the close season then the board might find itself hastily rearranged in terms of members by August 2010.

Regardless, there's nothing the public likes more than an instant star, from Dean "Deano" Saunders hit 14 from 30 in his first season to Jim "Bald Eagle" Smith earning promotion in his first campaign (without boring everyone to death in the process, Billy) and COYRS earned it's first instant favourite with AlvoRAM's Fernando Torres-like introduction to COYRs posting. Even DarkDragon, Harold Lectar, Benny the Ball, Boy From Brazil and Rick'sVan (all registered as Li voters) and those confused individuals who voted for the second slot as an act of solidarity with the Darryl Powell of the COYRs world could not take away AlvoRAMs impressive debut. Congratulations AlvoRam, 16 votes would normally be enough for about 97% of the vote, but we live in strange times as you instead scoop a still impressive 38% to claim your maiden win... can Alvo repeat his triumph? TUNE IN NEXT MONTH TO FIND OUT!

    1st. Alvo - 38% (16 votes)
    2nd. Li150 & DerbyGinge - 30% (13 votes)
    3rd. COYRs Democracy - 0% (0 votes)

    Great post jimbo...

Well the votes are in, they have been counted, contested and re-counted, and despite the race with ginge being tight and the masters 12 other accounts late come back, I am proud to announce to you, our party members, that we have won the election.

Whilst his tenure was an impressive one, and he won the polls fairly and by some margin last month, Mucker must now do the right thing and step down as poster of the month to make way for the somewhat younger candidate elected by the people of COYR. His attempts to broker a power sharing deal, by buying the last round at the meet up, have proved futile. However it has been rumoured that Mucker will probably be standing in the next election.

Seriously though, Cheers guys :fb11: it's an honour :)

    :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

It is both a pleasure and an honour to pass on my much cherished awardshipdom to your good self, Master Alvo.

I sincerely hope that you enjoy such an honour in much the same way as I, and indeed treat it with the utmost respect, as it merits.

    Congratulations again, Sir.

    I wish to protest!!

In true brit style it is obvious that since Alvo has not got an overall majority, that the way forward is for a Ginger/Germany Rainbow coalition (talks are taking place over the next few decades).

Having the the most votes is no guarantee of winning anything as important as the POM award.
