Not surprised at all by this turn of events.

The folk who dreamt this up obviously learnt nothing from the rapid failure of the 3D film gimmick.

Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

I like the idea of 3D sports to be honest... Not tried it out, so I don't know if it works but in theory it's good... never found yourself getting ready to celebrate a goal that is miles wide because you just couldn't judge the depth in 2D???

He's look good running around the pitch with a 42 inch flatscreen strapped to his head

I hope it doesn't die, because i've not seen anything in 3d yet. I planned on going to see Toy Story 3 but not got round to it yet, so if it would just hold on for another 2 weeks it would be great.

Its not that great, I saw Avatar in 3D and theres about 4-5 moments where theres an improvement in the film compared to the 2D version. Its not worth it, the picture is waaay darker which makes the experience worse anyway.

I've seen Toy Story 3 in both 2D and 3D (cos I'm gay like that), and it is much better in 3D for about 10 minutes. Then you completely forget you're watching it in 3D and it seems exactly the same, and you realise your'e sat there watching a film with some stupid glasses on, unable to remove them due to it making the picture all fuzzy.
