Poster of the Month - JULY - Nominations

Post by Mucker1884 on Sun 08 Aug 2010, 12:59 pm

Sincere apologies if I'm treading on anyone's toes, but I'm guessing Yojimbo's otherwise engaged.......

    Rucky Bashtad!

    Anyway, may I? ........

My Nomination for the Month of July is Der Kapitan, Mr Li of the 150cc variety.

He made me moisten my panties a few times last month, oh, and apparently, he does a bit behind the scenes as well, sort of chief ticker-over type bloke.

So a Nomi from me. :f_appl10.gif:

And Jimbo, if I have trod on 'em, feel free to kick ass and take the gig back.....I don't do responsibility! Thumbs up

I am going to nominate Wilko who came back said how much he missed the banter posted twice then left again.
But despite that he actually gets my vote as the lad that started the campaign for the statue of Clough and Taylor which (despite the issue with you know who)he deserves recognition for as the project comes to a happy and hopefully spectacular conclusion this month.
A project which I suspect will have a little deeper meaning to those of us who were lucky enough to live through the greatest of times for DCFC . Despite the fact he deserted our great forum ... the traitor deserves recognition as do the often bashed American owners.

    Well done Wilko

My nomination goes to Robert of Gloucester - mine and Calif's conqueror in last month's epic clash (highlights of which are still available on BBC iPlayer).

Adds and creates debate during the summer lull. Good work that man. Thumbs up

You know what you're right. Now I don't know what to do. Rescind my vote and hurt Ramsters feelings, or let it go and break the rules.

    Hmmm...

    Help!

I would like to have everyone consider a new format here.
If not this month perhaps in the future, lets self nominate,I think it would be much more fun to have people give their reasons why you should vote for them.

Just an idea wadda ya think?

Are you thinking out loud, or are you asking advice?

Personally, I'd stick with it, because:
A - You might have forgotten said epic post in a months time.
B - Said epic post may be out-epicced before the end of this month.
C - Rules are there to be broken.
D - You'll break his fu**in' heart if you take it away now, yer cruel bastoid, what were you thinking? How could you have even contemplated it?
For the sake of Christ, Joe, what sort of evil, twisted, sadistic creature are you man? GET A GRIP!!! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!

    Maybe I was wrong !
That is the most shameless vote catching I have ever witnessed
What next "you should vote me coz I only have two weeks to live"

    NER for me
Don't think of retiring from the world until the world will be sorry that you retire. I hate a fellow whom pride or cowardice or laziness drive into a corner, and who does nothing when he is there but sit and growl. Let him come out as I do, and bark. ~Samuel Johnson

    BUMP

So far, 1 Nommy each for:
Li, Wilko, Dr Rob Foster, Ramster, Vicram, NER & Chaz.

For those not in the know, You can of course nominate somebody who has already been nominated, or indeed somebody else! That's the point!!

I've heard it mentioned before that it's wise to leave these things to reach a satdeh, to give it more exposure, so, if there's no objections, here's the plan:

    Nommy's open 'til about/ish/approx 7am next Sunday, 15th.
Voting open til same time the following sunday 22nd. I know it's late, but no-one started it earlier!!

When Nommy's close, I'm looking for a minimum of two (obviously!) into the vote off. If tied nominations decree, then there will be more! (I know what I mean!!)

If I'm not doin' this right, will someone let me know, rather than slag me off behind my back, because Yojimbo ran off with the previous POTM brown envelopes, and no fe**er stepped forward. Immediately after I started this, I realised I don't do responsibilty! Embarassed

Anyway, Feel free to continue with nominations ...7ish Sunday Morning, remember!
