Poster of the Month - July - We have a winner!

Post by Mucker1884 on Sun 22 Aug 2010, 7:06 am

Well folks, despite the month of July being at the heart of the domestic close season, here on COYR’s, we managed to tick along very nicely, thank you. The usual standard of posting continued to be the order of the day, and indeed the month.
With the added excitement of the World Cup over in safafrika, and more to the point, Engerland’s ultimately frustrating repertoire of 5hite displays, we managed to accumulate a mass of postery to the standard of which we have become accustomed....unfortunately! :whis:
Proof of this is evident by the sheer number of nominee’s for this months top dog awards, if not the quality of ‘em!

Whilst deserving of a mention, the lesser nominee’s won’t actually get one..............coz they lost! :ton:

However, an honorary mention must go to our much respected runners up, Messrs Ramster65 and GlosterRob.

In fact, more than an honorary mention, let’s take a look at some of the highlights, starting with this month’s second runner up (That’s 3rd to you!), and the offerings from the not-seen-as-much-as-we’d-like, Ramster65:

“By the time John Terry / Rio Ferdinand et al have chased the ref for five minutes, it'd probably be quicker to watch a replay........It would be nice to give a couple of teams a real tonking again.......I always assumed they were all a bit 'happy' but apparently only the one dressed as a bike cop was. The rest were just a bit nervous.......It was never going to be a pretty ending was it?.......I don't think there is any oil in Afghanistan, just a lot of sand, drugs and ungrateful people. A bit like Blackpool really.......Megan Fox -don't know who she is but a google search says she looks dirty.........It's not that I'm a coward or owt but, well, you know, he can't half whine.......Erikson's a tit”

Some top posts there, Ramster. I’m guessing if you’d managed to squeeze THAT post in to July, you may well have been looking at victory today, imo. Bit harsh I know, but rules are rules, even if it is a technicality. So get over it!

And so on to July’s first runner up. or second place, if you will.......someone who is fast becoming a regular in these ‘ere award thingies, Dr Rob, from Gloster:

“She's still considering it, what the f*ck!.......Keep getting bitten by midge-type things? Little b*stards!.......Holy sh*t!.......My source isn't prepared to reveal said persons acquaintances.......A knife and a copy of Razzler......COD, is that like a fishcake?.......I'm pretty sure by October, though, that any enthusiasm will be depleted!.......The German left-back is absolute class, forget his name.......Do we have the fattest physio in the league?........I can't help but think if enough money is thrown at a club, it will eventually succeed no matter who is in charge........ Danny Dyer (literally) makes me want to gauge out my own eyes.......Have the Tampa Bay Tena Ladies Ultra Mini's signed any big names?.......I have been sucked in and I blame the missis.......Dogs, have grown up with them .......Did you want some sympathy Mace?.......what a sycophantic penis.......it may look better on man with fine physique, such as myself.........It was sh*t, if that's any consolation........U S A! U S A!.......Just making sure you aren't a bunch of nutters!......On a side note, Hunt has a cracking Missis, saw him buying her some Tiffanys merchandise in the Manchester Selfridges. Money talks!......You pushed me hard mate!......We won! We're going up!......It's attitudes like that which make it hard for offenders to stop offending. If he has served his time, why can he not carry on with his life? Do you really want him to reoffend and fill up our already brimming prisons, or have a shot at playng football again and contributing to our tax system?......WTF is a half final?......BUMP......F*ck you, that hatred has shaped me as a person......I'd like to buy Loughie a pint, I feel we're on a similar wavelength and could put the world to rights over a nice cold one ......c*nt...... Woohoo!”

Yes, it certainly looks a little different in the cold light of day, does it not!! Makes you wonder what all the fuss is about, looking back!

And speaking of fuss, before I open the envelope, to reveal the winner lets take a look at some of their superior posts for the month in question:

“l never knew i could have so many alternatives in my head.”

Oh, is that it? Oh well!
Maybe it was simply the incessant whinging that finally ground us down? :suspect:

    Still......
Fellow poster’s, it is, without doubt, an absolute honour and privilege, to be able to announce to you, the winner, and a most worthy one at that, of the July 2010 Poster of the Month Award.......no more the bridesmaid.........Master of all he holds captive.........Please take to your feet, as he takes to the throne......(WHOOP’S, let me help you back up there, Sir!)........Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you..........

J*sus Mucker, that's brilliant! Great effort, and I think I should try and be a little more reserved!

    Well done Li.

As you are all aware, the best speeches are always spontaneous & need preparation.
