Player of the Month - September Nominations

Post by Guest on Wed 29 Sep 2010, 12:17 am

    Y'know t'drill by now...

I vote for John Brayford, who has adapted well to Championship life and helped cover several positions during our defensive crisis.

I hope Kuqi was 50% better on Saturday than he was last night Chicken.

He wasn't bad, but I think he MUST have played better if everyone was so pleased with him on Saturday.

Not a patch on Hulse though. ;)

Still, as Derby fans we know all too well that you don't have to have the best PLAYERS to have the best TEAM.

Look at the 96' promotion side - player for player not as good as the Kitson/Gabby/team from a couple of years earlier.....but just a better blend, and more HEART.

We showed a bit of heart last night, don't you think?

    Brayford

If he was a foot taller PL clubs would be battering the door down.

Bailey for me, fitted seemlessly into the team and could be a very good player for us.

I say Bailey too, he has added the composure to our midfield that we have needed for so long. Very understated, rarely gives the ball away and is solid. Very, very good player.

That man of the match decision last night was a travesty.Brayford, Bueno, Commons (for his two goals alone) all had better games than Kuqi.

He's an average journeyman cenntre forward - but we sinply didn't have one, so ....by definition....he's better than what we had!

I think I've got to go with him too, was written off by many almost before he'd kicked a ball but he's adapted to ccc football brilliantly and gets about his business sometimes hardly noticed apart from his passing which is getting very good and I think we have a star in the making.
Much the same can be said about Brayford too but I'll stick with Bailey for the last month and hope that they keep making these decisions hard for us! There are 1 or 2 other on the verge, long may it continue.
