    New Members- can you help?

Post by Li 150 on Sun 03 Oct 2010, 10:36 pm

How do you find the site?
    Is it easy to navigate,
can you find what you want easily,
does the site have what you want
can you use the features (post a picture/video/etc)
can you easily find new posts, or since your last visit
Are there any things that could be made easier

If you take the time to answer I will take the time to make the site you want

    Cheers
    Li

Is it easy to navigate, Generally yes - but the thread titles and section titles on the home page sometimes dont stand out - could do with some sort of background and alrger bolder text.
can you find what you want easily - If i squint at the small titles mentioned abovedoes the site have what you want - yes - but is it possiblef or users to submit there own avatar or smilie designs for use on the sites galleries
can you use the features (post a picture/video/etc)Those that I have tried
can you easily find new posts, or since your last visit Yes - but I do find myself limited to looking at just latest posts box because the sections on the home page klind of blend into one

Hey mate, with regards text size... hold down Ctrl on your keyboard and scroll on your mouse wheel... can't remember if up makes it bigger or down, but have a play anyway.

I find it a bit clunky to be honest but that is simply because I am used to other sites, I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Good atmosphere on the site though mate well done foir that

I like this site. Also like the SSA for a bit of alternative flavour.

I got so used to posting on the DET site it was second nature to continually post despite it dwindling from what it used to be. But its all over now.

    Good forum this :yh:

I found this site takes a bit of getting used to, but like people say once you get used to it, it becomes the norm.

I agree, it looks a bit 'alternative' and takes a couple of days to get used to, but once you learn it's little foibles it's a great place to be.

***Yo canna whack a bit of flavour yowth, personally I like a bit of the hot stuff.

Looks like this site is experiencing an influx of newbies [possibly ex-The Creche] as are others, OK its nowt to do with me but personally I would not wish to see quality suffer for quantity.

I think all those involved in the site are determined to not let the quality slide even if it means less quantity.

As stated, if you cntrl + mouse wheel you can make it as big or small as you like. :affraid:
can you find what you want easily - If i squint at the small titles mentioned abovedoes the site have what you want - yes - but is it possiblef or users to submit there own avatar or smilie designs for use on the sites galleries
Members can post their own avatars, we also have a gallery, if you have a particular smilie PM chicken, she is the smilie chief executive organisor

can you easily find new posts, or since your last visit Yes - but I do find myself limited to looking at just latest posts box because the sections on the home page klind of blend into one
As we seem to have 1 or 2 newbies I'll extend the latest topics to 20
Are there any things that could be made easier - tapatalk for ipod touch/iphone
Unfortunate at this moment the site doesn't support any apps/mods, I will let you know if that changes, there are a lot of request for tapatalk
If you take the time to answer I will take the time to make the site you want

    Cheers

    I'll say this honestly...

    straight up....

    from the heart...

    no bull....

this forum is superb. I love the layout of the homepage, the various items in the sidebar. It's interesting, it's different and it's funny. Makes all other forums I've seen (not just footy related ones) look boring. A big well done to all it's creators.

Nice to see some names that disappeared from the DET forum on here too.

Yes, I've never really said this about a forum before but this is as good a forum as you can find. What really makes it good as the whole close-knit kind of atmosphere which makes it stand out from the faceless forums. there's a real feel of friendless and personality about this forum and I think the fact that Li does it rather than some big company has made it so good.
All in all, an excellent forum and although I did fear the quality would slide after the DET members came, they've proven me wrong, respected each others views and for a more lively interesting forum that stimulates debate more than ever before.

Top Notch Job Li and the moderation team

    Thumbs up Clapping
