There is absolutely no need to spell out the complete word, for example "the F*rest manager B*lly Dav*es is a f*cking w*nky t*at" is completely clear............................and f*cking true by the way.

About sums it up I reckon.

Barney is not saying cut it out altogether just use in moderation rather than making it the norm.

Thanks for all the feedback folks

I am not trying to dictate to anyone and acknowledge that some people accept swearing more than others. I just think that some people use swear words just for the sake of it and that is my gripe.
As others will tell you from the forum meet ups I do use swear words when in the company of like minded adults but on the forum we never know who is reading or who may be offended

As for SER I would have been dissappointed if he hadn't responded that way

With Masoud joining our ranks and posting 24/7 i fear the standard of language will only get worse.

Whilst i do use expletives fairly often, they will be to people whom i know know me and can hear me, i am always quietly amused by people constantly screaming expletives at the ref or a player from 100 yds away, its as effective as using the flash on a camera during the day from the same distance.... its only effect is on the people that surround you.....
But hey why let common sense or facts get in the way of what YOU want to do,is that selfish and inconsiderate of those people ? you are only showing passion, i guess if the subject on here arouses the same passions then expletives are to be expected, because the author can find no other way of expressing their feelings, T \/\/ /-\ T $ :ssh:

My Dad (God rest him) used to come out with a classic. At speed, without a break, I often heard..

    "damn-bugger-blast-bum-fart".

Personally, I prefer the physically impossible audible expletive as an expression of surprise,...something like:

"Well bugger me sideways with a medium sized cucumber, I didn't expect Billy Davies to take the blame for that one himself..."
