Player of the Month - October nominations

Post by Guest on Sun 31 Oct 2010, 7:54 am

The Watford match rounds off an acceptable months performance from the Rams, but who has tickled your footballing fancy the most over the months form.

This months nominations take in the games at home to Preston (3-0) and Watford (4-1) and the away matches at Swansea (0-0), Doncaster (3-2) and Millwall (0-2).

My nomination goes to Dean Moxey, who I think had shown real character to come back from an erratic first season at the club and losing his place to Roberts, not to mention frequently being player out of position, but has come to be a mainstay of the team over our successful run of results. He's even found his shooting boots.

Bailey for me. I look around the team and think who would we REALLY miss if he wasn't there? Reminds me more of George Williams every time I see him play. Him and Brayford, quality signings.

This is going to be difficult, me thinks.
There have been some excellent individual performances this month, and a different star has shone in each game, imo.

One will be MOM one week, and then 'just' give a good all round performance the next, with someone else running the shop.

To me, that all equates to a good all round team effort, which in turn lends its hand to a big thumbs up to the Young Man and his cronies, but they don't play, so I can't nominate them, as much as I'd like to.

That only leaves me with one option.......the head of the player's department, keeping everything ticking over on the shop floor.

So Mr Savage gets my Nomi, but each and every players' mantelpiece should get a look in!

Savage did have a good game - he really led by example when Watford put the pressure on in the second half.

He is actually, but what do you mean? Am I not allowed to vote for Robbie Savage when I think he's played well?

We owe our recent success more to teamwork than individuals, so I nominate the team.

I doubt Nigel will win manager of the month (Steve Cotterill and Daves Jones
are probably the favourites), so maybe we should have a special award this month
for Nigel and the coaching staff for raising the teamwork to a much higher level.

    Bueno for me

This boy oozes class,Prem teams are already looking.

When he gets the ball a hushed anticpation is shortly followed by an amazed gasp and roar as he tiptoes around a half dozen kicks and tackles.

Defenders dont know how to play him,and they leave gaps all over for the others to nip into and score.

He has made a terrific start in a tough league and I really dont think we have had the best of him yet.

What a talent and well done management for finding and signing up tight.

I just cant wait to see what he will do next.
