Poster of the Month - October nominations

Post by Guest on Mon 01 Nov 2010, 8:45 am

    You know the drill.

It's been a tough month for the cynical, being as we're now the Arsenal of the Championship but young Mr. PragueAndy has plugged away and tried to find something to post about during the sheer misery of success, so I nominate him.

Mmmmm, tricky one this month - there's so many posters who have made sound contributions. I'm going to go for rjrules because he summed the whole promotion issue up in a nutshell.

Could also go for Dav because of his bloggy to make it easier to figure out stats but I wouldn't want to be accused of nepotism.....

I'll go for a debut nomination for Davenport. I may not agree with everything he says but he has got stuck in there and created plenty of discussion points.

    Masoud for me

    Newbie with history!!

    Always got summat to say

Not always said without resorting to the vernacular, but has taken his medicine, not moaned and carried on posting without getting all huffy and stupid.

I am sure he will become a top poster in time.

Davenport for me. His contribution as far as I'm concerned has been excellent in every way. He consistently posts well thought out views that quite often I agree with and he always offers some sort of debate. He has slotted in perfectly here although I would like to say some praise to all of the new comers (well the ones that post anyway), all of whom have added something different to the forum and made it a more interesting and dynamic place to discuss Derby.

However, a big down-side to the newcomers is that now my chances of winning this have got considerably smaller... :f_grr10.gif:

Oh no, please don't feel the need to shower me in pity. I think you're forgetting I once came 3rd in these votes!

And I wrote my acceptance speech ages ago, its decayed now!

Okay Ginge - I promise never to vote for you out of pity in future because you're right - you did come third and doing so proves you can handle the big, bad forum on your lonesome. It's dangerous in here sometimes... ;)

Davenport for me, I know he's already been nominated, I just wanted him to know I nominated him aswell, so that in time, he can take something through customs for me as favour.

If only I could, I work at Manchester airport, have done for 3 and half years but still cant find a good source of Knock off Baccie - it only took me a week when I was Edingburgh.

Thanks for the nominations guys - and Ginge dont worry if I ever nominate you it won't be through pity. My Bro is a ginner and I know they dont need pity - the odd bit of healthy ridicule and number 1 all over (haircut) usually does enough to make life bearable.ne ne ne ne ne

Anyone thinking of sending flowers ladyram always appreciates the gesture - just send me a fiver and I will nip to the local garage florist and save you the delivery charge. :lol!:

Should there be a best newcomer award too? Some excellent additions to the forum recently.

Not in my opinion...it all gets a little long winded.
New forum users getting nominated is good enough recognition for those that are putting in the effort to make a solid contribution to the forum.

    :woo:

I got me a lil nomination! Ta muchly's Ashley ( I'll forgive you this once for having stained pants) :lol!:

As for the bloke bit - I'll do the decent thing and 'fess up, I'm a bit of a tomboy at heart but a lady nevertheless!

Just in case I don't win (have pity on me readers cos if Dav wins I'll never hear the last of it) I have my speech ready so I'll do it now.

    >>>gushes whilst wearing posh frock and trying to walk in ridiculously high, useless shoes<<<

I'd like to thank my parents for having me and raising one of 8 fantabulous kids (they didn't have a telly back then.....)
My teachers at school for being such utter tossers but letting me wag most lessons and smoke in the toilets suited me fine...(I could go on but I'd be here all night..)
    And the family dog.

Haha, works for me although swap a bit of ridicule for a lot of ridicule and number one for number two and that's me!
