Yesterday I watched Hackers, an oldish film featuring a very young Miss Jolie. Crap film but well worth watching Angeline Thumbs up

    Senna's pretty good - i'd give it 9/10 but unless you're interested in motorsport it's probably a 5/10.

I watched Donnie Brasco yesterday. Al Pacino and Johnny Depp are both quality in it and Michael Madsen play's his usual tough guy role well. It's a good story, but it lacked something special that Goodfellas and the Godfather have to put it on a level with them. 8/10.

    Happy Feet 2 5/10

Too derivative of the first one, the middle is wibbly but a good ending.

We were going to see this in 2D but the cinema took it off so I had to fork out for the 3D version.

My 15 year old lad declined to come and see it but then he declines to come and see everything. Certainly not an action movie or an otrageous comedy so he might find it a bit dull.

Warrior - Tom Hardy, son of alcoholic former boxer Nick Nolte returns home to be trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament, which his estranged older brother is also entering, both for very personal reasons. Guess what's going to happen?

Despite the predictable nature of the plot it is oddly effecting, if overly sentimental, and the acting is first rate - I think Nolte deserves an Oscar nod for his role as the father. The fighting scenes are well done and suitably powerful. Worth a watch if you don't mind the violence.
