Re: Injury news 2018-19
Derby County midfielder Tom Huddlestone it set to return to training this week.
Huddlestone missed the final friendly of Derby's pre-season against Wolverhampton
Wanderers and the opening Championship fixture at Reading on Friday night.
He has been sidelined by a groin problem although manager Frank Lampard says the
injury is not too serious.
"Tom is trying to get fit, but we have got to be a bit careful. He is fine, he will be
training next week," said Lampard.

The answer depends on what year this question is from.

Re: Injury news 2018-19
GT - Going on what little was seen of him in pre season with both the senior and U23 squads :
1. He has lost the extra weight he picked up during his injury recovery period
2. Didn't look sharp
3. Was more cautious than I remember him being
4. Hate to say it but doesn't look like he is going to be anywhere near the player we bought.
If he isn't going to be an influential player, maybe he can take his coaching badges and make a decent manager/coach or he might have to look for a career outside of football.
I hope I am 100% wrong but, based on what I've seen, the fit GT that could have launched us to the PL no longer exists.

I do stockers, he wouldn't be my first choice but Ledley did a brilliant job for us last season until his injury. May still have an important part to play even if it's only for the odd game.

A quality player with bags of experience and intelligence,
Loughe, I am with you on that.
He struggled to find a club until we picked him up, and to begin with he showed his intrinsic worth.
Until he got a permanent contract.
No slight on the man, but maybe his body has run its course, in terms of long term planning of ambitious Championship managers.

Re: Injury news 2018-19
Just announced that Forsyth has another cruciate ligament injury. Devastated for him. I've met him a couple of times and he just comes across as a really nice lad. It means 9 months to get over the injury and another 9 to get fit and confident of the injury passing. At 29, will he be back? I think we'll really miss him as a player.
Mason Benett has done his hamstring. That's 8 weeks out and another 4 to get fit. Back for March. He could really do without that as he was finally starting to become a first team player.

Re: Injury news 2018-19
Dreadful news for Foz and DCFC.
The best crosser of a ball at the club, and he gives us something which no other left back can.
Always liked him as a player. I just hope to see him fully fit again, but I expect the worst.

Lowe's loan ends in January so that might be the earliest we can get him back unless we have an emergency recall clause which I doubt.

Re: Injury news 2018-19
Awful news for Fozzy..would doubt he will be back at this level of football.
Even if he returns I’m not sure you could plan on using him as anything other than a back up player given his now horrible track record of injuries.
