Wisdom played well but a couple of silly errors should have cost us - especially trying to dribble out centrally leaving us exposed on a 3v1/4v2 situation 30 yards out. Luckily they fluffed it.

CKR for me. Lovely assist and all round good play, their centre half was nowhere near him.

At HT it was Edmundson all the way for me. The tactical change that saw him subbed means he's out of the equation.

Marshall one excellent save but for the rest he was not needed
Byrne was excellent, especially with his crosses
Edmundson brilliant at both ends of the pitch
Wis was very good with a couple of lapses he got away with
    Clarke was very good
Buchanan was excellent defensively and good with the rest of is play
Shinnie was back to being Shinnie after a couple of lesser performances
    Knight.... read Shinnie
Bird the industry of S & K let him drift into pockets and knit the whole thing together
Gregory was less influential than in previous appearances
Kazim was back to form following 2 lesser prformances

For me it has to be Byrne, just ahead of Buchanan

Certainly for the influence he's had on the team since he came in, Bielik may have given him a run for his money had he not sustained his injury. I suppose Knight, Shinnie and Buchanan have been performing well all season too. Gonna be a close call for P.O.T.Y this year.

Agree if Bielik had stayed fit he would have got my vote (assuming he kept his form) Shinnie is also a good shout for me.

Nice to see we have more than one player playing well now

One player who seems to get missed out of these conversations is Matt Clarke.

Not spectacular, not controversial, just Mr Reliable, heads and kicks the ball when he has to and has a nifty way of turning to shake his opponent off.

I hope there is an option to buy in his loan agreement. Sorry Wiz but I see Clarke and Edmundson as a formable barrier in the middle of our defence.

Two defenders, two loanees, what are the chances of signing both?

I'd say no chance with Edmundson, he is highly rated by Gerrard, but depending on the fianacial situation Clarke would be a good shout
