Murray's showing a lot more grit than his opponent.

BTW how do Federer, Nadal, Djokovic etc manage to look like smart professional sportsmen while Murray looks like one of the Bash Street Kids? Just curious.

I was hoping against hope that this thread related to Andy Garner, but never mind.

The Scot in question was appalling for two and a half sets....but eventually, the Brit showed his fighting spirit to squeeze through!

Just for a second or two there, he was doing an impression of Mel Gibson on a bad day....but all's well that ends well!

If he plays that badly against a top twenty player, he'll be mullered.

I see Andy Murray is only the 7th man in the open era to get to the semi final of all 4 majors...puts in perspective his achievements and how good a player he is. Also I think the current top 3 make up 3 of the others which just goes to show what he is up against. Would be great if he could get to the final but I think Nadal will be 1 step too far...he looked awesome against Roddick last night.

"I'll be supporting anyone but Murry"

Afterall "We Scots have a fierce pride in the things we do that others can never appreciate. I am the British No. 1, but I would prefer to be the British No. 1 from Scotland every time."

    and

"Better not say anything about that because if I do, I know I'm gonna get slighted. I'm really disappointed there's not more English people in it (laughter)."

Racist fishcake will never be "our boy" as far as I am concerned, He has repeatedly shown his feelings towards the English in general. He is Scotlands number 1, not ours.
